Brief Tour
The entrance to the hotel is through a small flower filled conservatory which looks out towards Loch Linnhe and the mountains beyond. Here guests can relax in the wicker chairs anytime of the day and read or admire the view. It is most popular for afternoon tea when it gets the best of the sun and for pre dinner drinks with the sun setting over the mountains.
Once through into the main hallway the atmosphere is one of a Scottish country house. From here guests can step into the first of two lounges with the second beyond.
The intimacy of the smaller lounge encourages conversation, helped considerably by the gentle crackle of the log fire. The décor is bright with cream coloured wood paneling and brightly coloured sofas and chairs. Guests often relax here after breakfast and perhaps read the newspaper which is replenished every day.
The second larger lounge is a little more traditional in décor. However the large sofas and chairs all in a rich blend of colours and fabrics encourage guests to relax, perhaps by the fire reading over one of the many magazines or admiring the contempory artwork on the walls.
The restaurant follows through with the relaxed intimate atmosphere. Whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner guests can admire the stunning view of loch and mountains from all tables.
Our latest addition to the public rooms is our snug bar. Again, intimate, this is the place to enjoy a whisky served from the beautiful walnut bar whilst admiring the glass fronted wine cellar.
In front of the hotel, across the lane, is our garden. This spacious area is a great place to enjoy a light lunch whilst admiring the beautiful views across the loch. For the slightly more energetic there is always a game of croquet to consider or perhaps a little putting to keep you in practice.
