Exclusive use

The Airds is truly a magical and intimate setting for special occasions, whether this be a family celebration or a luxury business incentive break.

So what makes The Airds so individual? Few venue's can provide all of the following combined into one package;

 - a stunning location on the shore of Loch Linnhe with incomparable views across the loch and towards the mountains beyond.

 - a level of personal service only offered by the very best hotels (we are an AA Inspectors Choice hotel).

 - surroundings conveying an intimate luxury. Understated and sophisticated.

 - cuisine of the quality you would expect from a restaurant that has consistently been awarded three rosettes from The AA.

 - a single contact at the hotel. Our Front of House Manager, Janette Macdonald, will ensure you recieve personal and efficient service in both planning your break and during the break itself.

Our flexible approach means we would be delighted to discuss with you your requirements whether it be simply taking over the hotel for one night including dinner and breakfast or staying for several nights with meals adapted to your requirements and special activities arranged.

Capacity

The hotel has 11 double bedrooms including the two Suites which, thanks to their sofa beds, can sleep an additional two guests each. Two further bedrooms can fit a third bed bringing the maximum guest occupancy to 28. We also have a two bedroom cottage in the grounds that can sleep up to five comfortably. Additional accommodation is available within walking distance, including another 12 bedroom hotel and several guest houses of high quality.

In terms of the restaurant, we can seat a maximum of 40 guests whilst buffet style would be up to 50.

Getting to us

Our location is easy to get to by road, sea or air. We are just over two hours from Glasgow and two and a half hours from Edinburgh by road. Yachts can moor by Port Appin Pier and can either walk eight minutes to the hotel or we can pick up. Helicopters can land in our grounds and private aircraft can land at Connel Airfield, 20 minutes drive away.

A single point of contact

Janette Macdonald, Front of House Manager, is your point of contact at the hotel. Janette will be as involved as you want - she will discuss with you your requirements, advise where appropriate and book any extras, for which we have many contacts.

Menu's

You may wish to keep to our usual menu format which is included in the standard 'Exclusive Use' rates - this being a four course dinner and full Scottish breakfast each day. Alternatively, we would be delighted to discuss any particular requirements you may have and for our Head Chef to advise you where appropriate. It is also worth noting that we pride ourselves on being able to povide interesting menu options for vegetarians and those with allergies. Also, our extensive wine cellar covers a wide price range enabling you to control the budget. Additionally, we have access to many importers to source any specific request you may have.

Entertainment

We would be delighted to organise a range of activities exclusively for you and your party. Listed below are some of the more popular ones, however, a more complete list is on our 'Activities' page. Alternatively, we would be pleased to arrange any specific activity you had in mind.

Some examples are:

Boat trip                                - enjoy a 1 1/2 hour trip                                                          around Loch Linnhe in this

                                                 powerful speed boat (R.I.B.)

taking in seal watching                                                          and the odd castle                                                               ruin or two.

Ceilidh                                   - usually held in the village

                                                 hall next door, this is

                                                 always great fun. The band

and it adds to the fun when

                                                 everyone gets it wrong!

Boat/Yacht charter                - charter your own sea                                                           going cruiser or yacht                                                              for day. Enjoy fishing, sight-
