A place to rest assured

Public rooms

Choose between one of two comfortable lounges offering understated luxury and relaxation and where large cosy sofas nestle by an open log fire, creating an ideal setting for an intimate conversation, or a quiet read from one of the many books on the shelves.

After a busy schedule how better to round off the day here
with a pre dinner drink and coffee after dinner. A plentiful supply of the latest editions of lifestyle magazines adorn the larger lounge along with contemporary original artwork on the walls. Much of the artwork is by Terry McKivragan R.I. and should you wish to find out more about his work you can visit his website at www.terrymckivragan.com.
For the enthusiast there is also a good supply of board games whilst fresh flowers complete the scene in both lounges.
Lunches are served in the restaurant looking out over Loch Linnhe. Similarly, afternoon tea can be taken in the lounges or conservatory and is served all day up until 6pm. And let us not forget our lawned garden in front of the hotel which runs down to the loch and where drinks and afternoon tea are served with the beautiful view as a backdrop.

The conservatory is pleasant at any time of the day. Morning or afternoon tea can be served whilst you admire the view and pre dinner drinks or after dinner coffee are popular as this affords you some truly impressive sunsets over Loch Linnhe and the Morvern mountains behind. The evening is a particularly popular time as large candles are lit at dusk and provide a beautiful glow to offset the fresh flowers and plants.

Wireless internet connection is available with our compliments throughout the public rooms and in most of the bedrooms.

Bedrooms

We have eleven luxury bedrooms (six with loch view) all of which are individually decorated with designer fabrics and wallpapers from such labels as Jane Churchill, Zoffany and Colefax and Fowler. A good nights sleep is obviously of paramount importance and that is why the majority of the beds are supplied by VI Spring. All beds have duvet covers over Frette sheets although we also offer the option of sheets and blankets should you prefer this. Flat screen televisions with satellite channels and DVD players are a feature of all bedrooms (a comprehensive selection of feature films is available from Reception and include many recent releases). All have private bathrooms and all bar one have bath and shower (one Standard room has a private shower room) with top of the range fittings and all have marble surrounds.

On arrival, every room has a decanter filled with complimentary whisky mac and we also offer complimentary early morning tea or coffee served to your room or we can provide tea trays if preferred. We also offer a complimentary newspaper of your choice each morning. Most rooms also offer complimentary wireless internet connection.

Superior rooms either benefit from a loch view or are a little more spacious. Some also have bath and separate walk in shower.

The Junior Suite offers more space with a separate sitting area and an even higher level of luxury and has a king size bed which can also be made up as twin beds. The spacious marble topped bathroom benefits from a separate bath and wet room with body jets. You may also choose to enjoy a bath whilst watching your favourite film as the bathroom also benefits from a waterproof television. Being on the ground floor means that you also have your own private patio garden.

The Loch Suite has a loch view and a separate sitting area with a sofa bed as well as a bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower and twin basins. It has a king size bed (can be rearranged as twin beds), a flat screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and separate stereo system.

The Master Suite is our newest edition and offers new levels of luxury. A separate bedroom and lounge provides the full suite effect. The bedroom includes a king size bed (which can be rearranged as twin beds), a flat screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player and has access to the luxury bathroom. The lounge also benefits from a flat screen TV with satellite channels (independent to the bedroom) and DVD player. The lounge also gives access to the roof balcony providing views to the hills and a side view to Airds Bay. The luxury bathroom offers twin basins, bath with waterproof television and wet room with body jets whilst underfloor heating ensures your comfort.

Each room also has information personally supplied by us about local attractions, walks and gardens to visit. We can also book specific excursions that we have arranged - please visit our 'Activities' page for more information or contact the hotel.
