Video Introduction to The Airds Hotel & Restaurant

Welcome to the Airds Hotel & Restaurant

Transcript:

Shaun McKivragan (Owner) - "Well hopefully guests will appreciate the West Coast scenery and will take away the friendly atmosphere that we have here, and they will go away with a warmth and a real good feel. That is what we are all about, that is what we want our guests to go away with."

Robert McKay (General Manager) - "The Airds Hotel can provide something for all the senses, from the fabulous views we have from the restaurant to the great food that the chefs produce. The restaurant here is all about local, seasonal, fresh, the best produce, the best that we can do. What better than to sit in the restaurant, look out onto the Morven Hills and know that the venison that you are eating has come from just across the way there. Caroline our gardener, grows a lot of the vegetables, the salad leaves, the herbs, that chef will use in the kitchen. We will go there first as much as we can before going and buying at the market."

Andrejs (Front of House) - "You can have everything, in one day you can have every season there is, hence why we have the wellies at the front door. All of a sudden the sun might just burst out and its just so beautiful. We can organise a guide to take you walking up the Munros, or if you just want a gentle walk, take the ferry over to the island of Lismore and walk the length of the island where you can see the mainland from the outside in. You can take one of the bikes and you can actually take the bikes over with you to Lismore and cycle over there. The only traffic you'll find are the sheep and the cows. You can go sailing. You can do the rib, which is a fast speedboat taking you right up and down Loch Linnhe. There's horse riding as well, which isn't far from here. There is a lot you can do because we ae situated in the Central belt of Scotland, so can travel quite far from here, but at the same time come back to this beautiful spot overlooking the Morven mountain range and Loch Linnhe for your supper."
