Tour with a Classic Car
Classic Car Hire
Why not visit us in style and hire a classic car for your holiday. Caledonian Classics offer anything from an MGB to a Jaguar E-Type and can recommend routes to take in the best driving roads and scenery – although that is not difficult in and around Argyll and the Highlands.
Guided hillwalking and climbing
From guided walks through to full blown mountain climbing, Steven Fallon and his experienced mountain guides cover everything with Scotland as its base. They can even offer instruction in navigation and winter hillwalking. Their website also gives specific information on particular routes.
Bespoke driving tours
If you are limited on time, the best way of making the most of your trip is to arrange an escorted tour. Our driver will adapt a day tour in his luxury 4x4 to ensure you see as much as possible and will happily include any specific locations you wish to visit. He is very knowledgeable about the area and his friendly and personable manner ensure a very enjoyable time. We guarantee you will come away feeling far more knowledgeable about this part of Scotland.
Loch Etive cruise
Loch Etive is a beautiful loch and with no road access along most of its length, it is truly unspoiled by human contact. The cruise operates daily (except Saturday) from Taynuilt (35 minutes drive from the hotel) and provides commentary on the scenery and wildlife. Snacks are available on board as are toilet facilities. Cruises last either 90 minutes or three hours.
Arrive by Luxury Sea Plane
Fly in a luxury iconic seaplane back to the halcyon days of travel with a First Class window seat over the most magnificent landscape in the World.
Loch Lomond Seaplanes, the UK’s only commercial seaplane tour service, voted by the Scots as the country’s top “must do” activity, is a breathtaking travel experience.
They operate Scenic Tours as well as regular tour flights as far as Oban and Tobermory on Scotland’s stunning West Coast.
Depart from the River Clyde in the bustling heart of Glasgow’s city centre and leave the exciting, historical, cityscape behind - after just 22 minutes of dramatic scenery alight on the sparkling waters of Oban Bay, where we can then arrange transport to collect you and take you to the hotel.
Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries
The islands of Scotland are some of the most enchanting places on earth. Even the tiniest of them has its own individual character and charm. Dramatic sunsets, spectacular scenery and a traditional Scottish island welcome are just a few of the things that await you. The most popular and accessible islands are Mull (linked to Iona) and Skye but there are many more accessible either on a day tour or as part of a longer trip.
